I was just pondering this while outside just stargazing a few minutes ago before I found this thread.

Children are so trusting of adults in general. They haven't learned the cues and developed the sense to remove themselves from imminent danger. It's really disgusting people who take advantage of the trusting nature of children for their own sick desires.

That said another thing that I was contemplating was the idea of lowering the age of consent to 14-15 but with obvious restrictions on age gaps. As well as treating abusers in said relationships to the entire book being thrown right in their faces.
My reasoning for the first part of that last thought is that at 14-15 nowadays it's not uncommon by any stretch for teens to already be sexually active. With that in mind some pervert in his mid 50s trying to creep on freshmen High school girls is NOT what I have in mind when I suggesting the aforementioned.

This is all kind of off topic anyway but the people who traffic children (or any individual for that matter) to be sold into sex slavery are the lowest of the low and for those types of soulless degenerates, we should bring back public executions. Not the fast drop hanging of old but lower that rope nice and slow letting their weight tighten the noose around their neck slowwwllly letting them writhe in agony until they go limp however long that takes
