I live in a Temperate Rainforest on the other side of the country. Our 'snow machine' is a shovel for our 10-14 days of snow....but sure you can have it...never use it anyhow.

That still beats our 1-3 days of snow in NC every couple of years. I do miss the snow. I grew up in it and had known it my whole life, so to move to a place where it's scarce is like missing an old friend. I'm like a kid again when it does snow, whipping snowballs around and sliding the car with glee!

Good morning everyone, I believe I was asleep by 8:30 last night. Just been exhausted lately. I miss all the fun that happens later.

I know the feeling... Been getting in bed early myself. The good thing is there is fun to be had on glp at all hours.

I'm amazed at the stamina of rewind, Fraust and others on the music threads! They seem to go non stop!

When I had my ear infection the doc provided antibiotic drops and also had me rinse my ear out twice daily with rubbing alcohol.

I hope she is feeling better soon.

The Mrs. pulled something in her back moving a file cabinet (I have since fussed at her for it) so I bought a heating pad online for her and will pick it up on the way home today.
She started dinner and I'll finish the remaining preparation at home tonight.

She pushes herself too hard.

Bitter cold here this morning 18 F / -7.8 C

I got the humidifier going at home a couple of days ago. the HVAC is supposed to do it itself, but I suspect that part has died. Or I forgot to turn it on, hmmmm. I guess I better check when I get home.

We really don't have much of an Autumn or Spring here. Summer shorts and tee shirt weather one day, and then snow and Winter temps in under a week. Same thing in the spring only the other way.

Yes we have drops and antibiotics, working on getting her well.

I never shop at Walmart however the Mrs. said they would have the cheapest price for an electric heating pad so I went online and sure enough one by Sunbeam for $9.97 I ordered it and I got a text saying it's ready and I got here and there's a sign that says parking for pickup, call the number on the sign, and darn they're going to carry that to the car for me.

I think the last time I've been in a Walmart by myself must have been a decade ago when people were fighting each other over crappy TVs.

Apparently the system doesn't work quite flawlessly cuz someone just came out to the truck and said "I'm sorry but the person inside forgot your name, may I have your name please so I can get your order for you?"

She went back in and returned with it in a minute.

I gave her a dollar tip for her trouble for having to go back and forth twice. Plus it was nice not having to walk I want to be glad when I have a shiny new hip and can run a marathon.

Time to go get her a prescription and get me a beer and head home see y'all later everyone be safe I got to go to bed very early tonight because I have to get to the office like an hour and a half early to recover a database that got trashed buy idiot users. I always leave myself lots of extra time. Having learned years ago to always Scotty everything life from Star trek I don't know if I can do it Captain I can barely hold it together. When all along I knew I had it done 5 minutes ago.

Oh, no, Sir. With a shiny new hip, running won't be entirely out of the question, it'll just be poo pooed, and mighty uncomfortable.

I met him once three decades ago, he is indeed a hero to every engineer!

I will rise above it and will be back to walking twenty five miles per week again and running will again be a choice!!

Home now and the Mrs. likes the heating pad, she's lying on it and falling asleep. We'll have dinner when she awakens. Her black-eye peas and sausage smell great. She's not hungry yet, nor I as we had both a class and a meeting at my office so I made myself a lunch / afternoon snack plate that would have cost me upwards of $30 had I ordered it at a restaurant. I'm kinda stuffed.

And my small cat gave me a mandatory grooming, he never has been so aggressive in doing it. He climbed on my back wrapped his front legs around my head, dug his claws in, and repeatedly raked them through my hair while simultaneously grabbing six or more inches of hair in his mouth and biting down hard on it while dragging it through his teeth.

That continued for another ten minutes. Them deeming me sufficiently groomed he walked off to get something to eat.
