What kind of doom? Natural disasters, war, purge by something else?

People are warning about all kinds of doom scenarios, often contradicting each other. I've had dreams since the 70s about massive upheaval, continents moving, massive winds, that sort of thing, but I was led to believe it may be preventable. We'll see.
