Anonymous Coward User ID: 77732153 United States 10/05/2019 11:00 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I listened to alex jones last Friday and he had a flat earther on and of course I just laughed to myself at how dumb of an idea of a flat earth is. Even alex had contempt for the guy.but honestly the guy seemed more sane than alex overall. So I go to flatearthpodcast.com and watch some of the videos. I really wanted to see how easy itd be to disprove a couple. Hell I've seen boats over the horizon. But honestly the first one I saw made me question if we've been lied to. The guy did a test and was extremely thorough using established formulas and math . The math didnt make sense for if the earth was round. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72883951 I've always thought FE research was interesting. Because the globe model is supposed to be 100% accurate with not a single hole in it. But when you really look into it you find will things that don't add up right off the bat. Things that if you never thought to question you wouldn't even notice. Fascinating. Actually, ALL of the flat earth “experiments” that you find on-line are just done incorrectly or using incorrect information. It is extremely easy to disprove them and to show the real experiments which prove the earth is a globe. Secondly, we have photos of the globe, video, endless documented proof that the earth is a globe. All of this “NASA is fake” crap that you see on-line is just that-crap. Think about it. It would take a world-wide conspiracy among millions of people with no-one ever spilling the beans to make that happen. It’s ridiculous. |

To those who will advance optical delusion : try to see the earth incurved in opposite incurvation : never works. (by the way : works in plane too if : good wheather lightday (or we can't see it) |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77996993 The PERSISTENT LACK OF CURVATURE is the smoking gun. Countless landmarks that should be obscured by curvature are either visible to the naked eye or can be brought back into sight by a good zoom lens. Nothing goes "over the curve" because there isn't one. Kauai island in Hawaii can at times be seen from Oahu 90 miles away. There should be a mile high "bulge" of curvature obscuring the view, but there isn't. The Statue of Liberty, Chicago skyline, Manhattan and Vancouver BC have all been seen/photographed from 60+ miles away, when they should be hidden by over 2,000 feet of curvature. Countless more examples like this -- because the Earth is flat. Here is a curvature calculator. [link to earthcurvature.com] And more proofs -- Critical thinking here. Attack it quick. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77045318 United States 10/05/2019 05:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A thought experiment, for all "GLOBALISTS" aka round-earthers. If you were somehow able to fashion a perfect sphere out of concrete, with a diameter of, let's say, 100 yards, and bore a corkscrew like hole through the middle of it, which could serve as a ramp descending downwards so as to be able to walk through it... if you started at the top of the sphere and descended down the ramp through the middle of it, would you fall out of the bottom, or emerge "upside down" as it were, standing on the bottom? Obviously, you would fall out of the bottom, feet first. Ok, now let's make the sphere bigger. Say it's a mile in diameter now, with a corkscrew hole bored through it. Again, you descend down the ramp, and emerge at the bottom. Feet first? Or head first? A 100 mile diameter sphere? 1000? Now that we've established the lack of feasibility for this happening in a sphere sized to dimensions any of us can imagine, what diameter does the sphere need to be to magically flip you upside down while descending downwards? I've asked this question to MANY non flat-earthers, and it is amazing to watch their conditioning go into overdrive. The gold standard response is "but the middle of earth is LAVA so that's an impossible question." They have literally been conditioned so fully that they are unable to engage in a philosophical thought experiment that challenges their matrix. I post this hoping for an awakening, but awaiting a healthy amount of criticism and scorn for daring to ask such a foolish question. |

At the center you would be weightless because your center of mass would coincide with the earth's. You wouldn't magically flip upside down, but any direction you went, you would have to climb "up", being very light while down there as the mass of earth above and around you would cancel forces in other directions. |
