Tell them the truth, that corporations and banks are trying to make as much money they can, by inflating equities and housing, BECAUSE interest rates are so low, and people are going to divest. Trump wants lower rates, not so much to keep equities going up, but to keep the national debt from inflating, exponentially. All of the markets, and housing, have been artificially reinflated since the 2008 crisis. At the same time, nobody in government is truly interested in reducing the national debt. We US citizens are like rats on a sinking ship. We do not have the abilities to figure out how to get off, and we will surely drown, when this big nation finally sinks.
