Wrong. Windows xp was cool, simple, basic. Windows 7 was good, stable, even 8.1...but once they jumped into windows 10, yuck. Horrible. Constant updates, slower than dog shit. They all suck. Linux is more secure, but more complex to get basic things done. They ALL suck. Use an old os, disable updates and stay away from crap that will install malware, no random emails and dont just open any link in front of you. Never have any issues with my old 8.1 laptop, ever.

I was a windows person all they back to Windows 3.0. Then windows 10 came about and I finally said F off to the constant updates, loading shit in the background while I am on GLP, tracking my ass, telling me what I should download and finally making software applications like MS Office a payable software even to read now. I switched to Linux Mint 19.2 last week and never looking back again. And for the naysayers, I am 60 years old. I was programming computers in Fortran and Basic language on punch cards in the 70's. If this old fart says screw you to MS Windows and can handle the changeover- Guess what? there are going to be millions who follow suite. No more viruses, malware hackers, ransomware, cleaning programs running in the background to slow the computer to a crawl. You know,it's a breath of fresh air.

Windows 10 pisses me off in some ways, but I use too many apps and programs that wouldn't be compatible in Linux as far as I know (such as the Ring security camera app that's only on the Microsoft store).
