Brave browser is taking a LONG time to start up for me. Is this happening to anyone else? Why is this occurring?

Brave browser is taking a LONG time to start up for me. Is this happening to anyone else? Why is this occurring?
Brave browser on my desktop machine used to start up super fast - now it takes several (about 15-30, or more seconds!) seconds to start up.

Anyone know why? I did a quick search online and there are a few other complaining of same, but found no solution or reason. Thanks.

Yea. When i look at task manager has some process called brave update.

Yea. When i look at task manager has some process called brave update.

When attempting to start Brave, I get "Brave" showing up in task manager list of processes going on, however it does not appear for about 30 seconds. (weird!)

I see no Brave Update that is listed in Task Manager.
