You don’t choose your body, personality, and disposition. They are a product of genes and childhood experience. At what age does a person become fully responsible for their actions? 12? 18? 21? 35?

How do you know if your a NPC or not.

People can be manipulated via many means. Drugging, hypnotism, subconscious programming that they are not consciously aware of. Are they responsible for choices made under the influence of external forces?

You didn’t address the question. How can a person be responsible for choices made without complete knowledge of the situation? None of us has complete knowledge of the situation at hand. Are you saying that it’s more important to do what you believe is right than to do what would result in a better outcome for all concerned parties?

In fact, I believe in God, and I believe his forgiveness is without limit, precisely because it is absolutely impossible for any mortal to fully understand the consequences of ANY choice. Maybe you decide to change the radio station at the wrong time and it results in a car crash that kills a three year old ten minutes later. Maybe you get drunk and kill a three year old in a crash that would’ve grown up to be a serial killer. You have NO WAY TO KNOW. All any of us can do is try to be good and hope for the best.

Many people seem to confuse omnipotence with Free will... you don't have to know everything to make your own choices.

If there is free will, then it would manifest spontaneously as action. The problem is finding the personal experience where this spontaneity has occurred in one’s past.

A frustration arises when one finds none or too few examples of free-will in actual action. We are all a little NPC until we’re not...if ever.

Angels have no free will and so it goes to say demons don't either since demons are fallen angels....in fact it is believed that Satan/lucifer/the devil... whatever and his demonic minions hate humans for that very reason because true humans have free will. Perhaps NPCs are possessed by these non free will demons. I have found that if you wish to shutdown or at least upset an NPC is to ask it why it does what it does...ask it what is it's purpose for its post...Trumphate...etc..just like the famous vid...ask "why" and they lose it...swearing....hitting if close enough. It reminds them that they are NPCs when they can't answer. Its true. I do it all the time and almost always get the same result. The question "Why" can only be answered by free will since it involves making choices which requires free will. A scripted NPC just does the script....they don't know why.

Ha, and even though of us that do believe in free will, for everyone, how many of us decide based on the spirit and not based on simple material urges from this physical host we travel in?

How many out there can separate their inner voice from the wants of the flesh. Even though we all possess free will doesn't mean we are a step above a zombie.

Most of us are slaves to our flesh. But we still have free will in all choices.

I can see why one might think this if they think it is a binary either/or deal and agree that this way of seeing it encourages those lacks.

did you see the NPC levels vid I posted? unfortunately there are many people these days that cant think for themselves effectively. mostly due to only being taught what to think and not how to think.

Angel's do have free will, we all have free will.

Make up your own beliefs if you must to be contrary and feel superior buy my statement stand that it is a common belief that angels don't have free will. God commands and they do. Lucifer tried to use free will and was banished from being an angel. He is "fallen".

He chose your skin color.
He chose your parents or lack thereof.
He chose your country.

He chose your first language.
He chose your body type.

He chose to love or hate you and your destiny therein.
