Re: Free Will and those that don't have it - NPCs
Prideful idiots who cannot perceive 10 feet in front of their own face because of their own blindness believe they have free-will.

If you had a will that was free of God's knowledge and power then you yourself would be a god, capable of creation.

Turns out, you're not a god. You do not have the ability to create or destroy, but only modify what was here before you were born. Never in the history of man or angels has any being created by God ever created or destroyed.

Every moment of every day and every emotion of piece of knowledge you have ever gain was because Yahweh designed you before you were born. Meaning you don't have a will that is free of the confines of his creativity of definitions.

The very fact that you were born in the way that every other human was born is first and main testimony that you are not in control. He chose your eyes by way of gene combination and expression which he made before you were born.
He chose your skin color.
He chose your parents or lack thereof.
He chose your country.
He gave your soul(flesh) breathe and made you living.
He chose your first language.
He chose your body type.
He chose your sex.
He chose your career path or lack thereof.
He chose to love or hate you and your destiny therein.

And all of these things have led up to this moment of you prideful idiots believing that you have free-will apart from his design. Blind people....how can you now see how truly weak you are?!

Would an NPC be on the same line as an organic portal or is an NPC simply stage scenery in a sim?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31729382

NPC is just the latest label for what the ancients referred to as a philosophical zombie.

basically it is those who cant think for themselves and must rely on others to tell them what is right vs wrong.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71169035

I think it’s a way for people to validate their feelings of superiority at the expense of the less fortunate. This attitude ultimately nurtures an extreme lack of compassion and empathy.

I can see why one might think this if they think it is a binary either/or deal and agree that this way of seeing it encourages those lacks.

did you see the NPC levels vid I posted? unfortunately there are many people these days that cant think for themselves effectively. mostly due to only being taught what to think and not how to think.

Absolutely.

But it doesn't absolve you of it's consequences.

You may "choose" to make the "mistake" of putting your pecker into a meat grinder, if you wish to test your free will.

However, there may be repercussions.

You may choose to grab a rattlesnake and shake it vigorously.

But you may end up sorry, for the price that will be paid.

You are correct. Commies are godless for a reason.
The democommies like to spout how "we all are created equal in this country" when in fact we are equal in the eyes of the law having nothing to do with us being the same. The COTUS says we are to be treated equally in the laws.

Satan does not have free-will either and he knows it. He and all the rebel angels and death all were purposed for God's glory. By giving form and knowledge to evil and lawlessness he enabled the rest of his creation to compare and perceive he who he is.

Satan was made to do exactly what he is doing. Or why do you believe that a being that is very old and very smart and was next to his creator can't perceive he is in the wrong and outmatched and then repent all this time? It is because God made him to blaspheme specifically so he cannot nor the other 1/3 of those rebel angel can be forgiven.

I am beyond certain that many millions of faithful, good people have suffered through no choice of their own.

Why would God test some harsher than others? The Hindu karma thing makes more sense than the Bible thumpers, if we have to resort to faith at all.

Satan used his free will to rebel against God. But the consequence of doing so has a price.

God created the universe.

His universe, His natural laws.

So according to your made up beliefs...God makes people sin so he can punish them. You make no sense. Pray harder. I go by popular belief in the bible words....you are not allowed to make it up. This is why you are confused. Your free will makes you think you know God better than His own words.

What if someone drugged and hypnotized you such that you fully believed the meat grinder was your wife’s vagina? Would you still be responsible for the consequences?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77999315

DAAAAAAMMMN!

harsh, but effective way to make a point.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71169035

I can see how some of the devout might respond, “that would never happen to me because my faith is too great, God would not allow it! Jesus would protect me!” Maybe. But what if you’re wrong? I am beyond certain that many millions of faithful, good people have suffered through no choice of their own.

Why would God test some harsher than others? The Hindu karma thing makes more sense than the Bible thumpers, if we have to resort to faith at all.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77999315

Im never beyond certain and what I think is always subject to change.

one of the toughest questions I (often) ask myself is "what makes me so sure"

read that question a few times, its not immediately apparent what it is asking sometimes.

but I am interested in how you might be able to be 'beyond certain' about that in particular?

No, you wouldn't be "responsible" for the consequences, unless you ALLOWED yourself to be drugged and hypnotized.

But if it was done deceptively, and ultimately forced upon you, the person who DID it would be spiritually responsible, and would be judged accordingly.

But in this fallen world, many innocent people suffer at the hands of evil people. Those innocent people may suffer at the hands of the wicked, but those wicked people with incur the wrath of God, and will suffer the ETERNAL consequences, unlike the innocent.

Anymore nutty questions?

It doesnt seem to me that that would be an effective use of my time?

for at least a couple of reasons, one being that apparently you have on AC con fused with some other.

another being that you seem to have a knowitall, demanding attitude (BTDT)

hopefully you will enjoy the wait.

This is why you are prideful. You don't believe he is willing to make one use paper-plates, pencils that are not refillable, cars that get old, and cause you, a human who thinks you are worth more, to be in the same category. Despite all the prophets telling you the same thing and all the apostles telling you that you are worth as much as he deems fit and that he is never out of control, you believe the he will send people to hell because he HAS to because of THEIR decisions.

Nay, he CHOOSES to because of the decisions he designed every person to make.
