The Martial Law Option

Under the current paradigm our President is holding a couple of Trump cards(pun intended). First, he has a lot of unsealed indictments at his disposal and I suspect many of them involve current sitting members of the Congress. Second, he has the martial law option. Timing is everything with both of these. I suspect this current impeachment scenario is one of the main reasons why many of these indictments were held back. As insurance. The martial law option should probably be considered ONLY if a trial ensues in the Senate and especially if the vote looks like it will convict Trump. If there is a conviction, I don't know if Pence can be trusted to carry on with Trump's policies. My gut tells me very unlikely although stranger things have happened before.
