His symptoms are similar to an 18yr old IT tech I used to work with after he went to an EDM rave and took Molly. His kidneys shut down and the docs said he might need dialysis all his life. Any chance your son was 'rolling on molly'?

Ok I have a short update for now, His creatinine and white cell levels were up a little this morning, He is still fighting an infection. But his overall hemoglobin levels are up. He hasn't had dialysis today or yesterday.

They are moving him to the third floor of MCG which is the Surgical and Outpatient procedure floor, it also has regular patient rooms there.

This is a Little lower Priority floor than ICU and Cardiology floor that he has been on since he was admitted.

No word yet from The Kidney team yet today, still waiting on them to tell us if they are doing the Kidney Biopsy today or not.

Ill update again when I hear anything new.

His Uncle is up there with him now and just said he got Dakota up out of bed and he walked around the room for a very short period. But that's progress, it's the first time he has stood up since he was admitted on the 28th of September.

Hang in there BBQ! This is all good news. I am so glad he is doing so much better. It is going to be awhile for him to completely recover from this bacterial assault and damage from toxins released during the infection. Hopefully he will be open to really detoxing his body when he gets home with a good alternative health doc. Supplements like N-acetyl-cysteine (NAC) are especially good for detoxing and healing the kidneys. The health problems and after effects can be seen for decades. Better to start the process with the guidance of someone experienced. Allopathic physicians do not understand the importance of this.

When things calm down hopefully you can pinpoint the source of the infection and see if other people were sick as well. The health department would be one place to check. Today's Evening update.

They did not do the Kidney Biopsy today his white cells were too high. Overall Hemoglobin is up. They have removed all lines except the dialysis port. Hes had no Blood pressure medicine today and his blood pressure is holding at normal levels.

He has not had dialysis in two days, but he will have dialysis tomorrow. Hes getting a little puffy. Occupational therapy came in today and got him out of bed and walked him around a little, not far but he got out of the bed for the first time.

He has almost no medicines today.

I don't normally migrate threads but we can all pretty much agree we all are praying for Dakota. So switch some of this about and you will see what I mean

In all honestly I do not mean to become a Bible-tard but becoming prayer, rather then supplicating on your knees is a better option. It works. In a rational, Permaculture style way of looking at it...it is much more functional to become prayer as opposed to praying. Once you start you will adopt the wry grin on your face and all becomes clearer.
