Tuesday night update.

He had dialysis again this morning, it ran for three and a half hours. His white blood cell count is still high and they redid some blood work today on that. They are no longer doing the dialysis is his room, they are getting him out of bed and wheelchairing him to the Kidney unit which is on the same floor.

He ate a little better today, about half his lunch.

They came in a few hours ago and removed the dialysis port in his neck, they though it may be leaking and causing infection. So he won't get dialysis for a few days, he's getting a rest, when they resume they are going to try and put a temporary port in his arm. Slow progress but progress just the same and we will take it.

Again we Thank all of you for your Support.

I hope he continues to get better, lord knows he was very ill!

Thanks for the news. Good to hear they take infection seriously. There should be hydrogen peroxide wipes...wipe his bed down and everything else, daily. It will give everyone a sense of purpose and protect mama bear’s son.

That video above that Lance posted is definitely worth watching and go on that channel there are a bunch of very interesting videos that I have started watching...can’t vouch for all of them by no means, but they are thought provoking and intelligent...Malcolm Gladwell is one of the authors cited...I have only watched 2 but there are others I am going to try to watch...
I suggest clicking on the link and looking at the Video Advice channel and see what resonates with you (kind of a pun there, lol you will get if you watch the video Lance posted)...

Infection is a risk of dialysis so it is good that they removed the port.

A somewhat slow day today. Dakota's white Cell level is still too high to do the Kidney Biopsy. His count needs to be between 10 and 12. Yesterday his was at 17, but after taking the Port out it came down to 15 today. No Dialisis today but need be they are going to put a port in his chest. Really not much else to report today. He ate a little and slept a lot.
