Yes it was...a poll. I knew it would go 'poof it is gone' so I green pinned it myself. But the poll before it went 'poof it is gone' was over 80% Yes, GuLP has Dakota's back as well as his parents. BBQ Boy can ask Trinity himself if he so choses. That is none of my business. But the backing is there.

We may not have a lot of money (I don't, I live on a pittance of my own creation) but I can give up a 6 pack for someones son for sure. It is a form of Agape. If my son gets screwed overseas and I came here with the issue...I would see a response. Humbleness in the time of a family crisis is not the way to go. Everyone can pretty much go and get a $10.00 gift card and help this family out.

No, it won't pull them out of debt but it is a far more active form of prayer then mumbling words. Pray and may Trinity allow a GFM so we can show our gratitude as decent human beings trying with whatever we can to help a brother and his son out.

I want to Thank everyone for your concern about our finances. The GFM page would have to be his decision not ours. Although he still lives at home he is over 21 year old adult. I will suggest it to him.

So we had a very quite two days here. No dialysis but he goes back today at 3:40 then back on Thru and Sat, then a two day break.

He's lost a lot of weight thru this ordeal and yesterday he even commented that he couldn't believe how different he looks. He's still pretty weak and a fall risk, so he use's a cane for very short trips in the the house.

We tried to get some of the glue residue off him yesterday from the bandages and tape. He was standing the kitchen for a few minutes and got dizzy and lost his breath, so it was panic mode for us for a few minutes. We are still at the point if he even coughs one of us checking on him.

Just taking day by until this Biopsy is done and we get some answers.

I made a post on here previously about alleve.
I know of two instances where people that have used it ended up having their kidneys damaged.
Remember when people didn't know that the combination of alcohol and acetaminophen could damage your liver?
This is the same thing. People don't know this information yet.

Regarding the glue residue, try peanut butter.
Let it set for a while. It's great for getting gum out of hair.

My prayers are still up for your family.
It has to be hard on your son, going from a healthy 21 yr old man to going through this.

We tried that but had to scrub too hard and he is very sore around that Chest port and the catheter going up into his Jugular vein. We are going to try again later with some baby oil.

Try peanut butter. Let it set for awhile. It works awesomely on gum in your hair and it washes away easily/water soluble?

Not much new to share with you guys, We are still stuck in Limbo here until the Biopsy and then however long it takes for those pathology reports to come back. Once he gets classified as far as CKD we will have an idea of how to proceed forward.

On a good note he is going to the bathroom (peeing on his own) more and more as the days progress.

Hes at Dialysis now and his aunt will be picking up when he is finished and bringing him back home to us.


Once again Thanks for all the Prayers and Love GLP, it means a lot to us.

As soon as we know something you will know. That Davita website has been a Godsend to us, I created an account there and they are on the spot, if we ask a question or advice. I used their Meatloaf recipe last night and pattied out some Burgers from it, he ate two hamburgers, that's the most we have seen him eat in one sitting since this all started.

So we just got the Uber bill. The Ambulance Transport from Hospital two to Hospital three.

Chain of events:
My wife drove him to Urgent Care. 18 miles away.

Urgent Care referred him to Doctors Hospital and my wife drove him there. 12 miles away.

Doctors Hospital Transported him via ambulance to Medical College of Georgia ( no flashing lights ) 4 miles away.

wait for it.....

$1847.63

Thats almost $500 per mile.

I am not surprised at all about the cost of ambulance. It is disgusting though.

Great news on the Peeing and appetite! both indicate major improvements in kidney failure. I hope he can turn this around and get off dialysis! Many prayers and much love!

Thank you. We are just waiting on the Biopsy and then we see how they "Classified" his Kidney damage. Then we go from there. The Hospitals don't realize the essence of time I guess. He has been out of work now for over 30 days, so on Dec 1st his insurance expires and no one gets paid. Oh the Karma.

I am pretty sure the employer has to give him the option of paying his premium. I know it is expensive, but, you have to keep that going. If you let the insurance lapse..... well, I don't know, maybe Medicaid is better, they would cover everything given his age and severity and expense of his condition. What a helluva predicament.

Wow..... hang in there, and please consider getting donations at least for medications until something is worked out with insurance. Much love!!

Thank you for continuing to update us. His improved appetite and urination are wonderful! Of course I know this young man loves being aware that his trips to the bathroom are worthy of public comment. LOL He will get over it once he gets over the illness.

Are you taking care of you, BBQ Boy? How well are you eating? How well are you rehydrating? We don't want to know that other part about you, thanks. LOL You really must take good care of you in order to continue taking good care of young son!

Please let him know that a GFM would be a great help to him, and many stand ready to contribute. Perhaps you would want to wait until most of the medical bills are in? Then you would have a goal to shoot for when you set up the account.

Hey BBQ Boy, when you go to settle the bills, just tell them, "We'll pay this much for 'x'." It does work.

Usually it works best if you have cash, but if you notice on things paid by insurance, they always stipulate that whatever amount they paid is to be considered payment in full.

I'm keeping y'all in prayer. I know there is still a long road to full recovery.
