We got a call today from the Adjudicator working on Dakotas Disability claim. He said Fresenius ( the dialysis clinic) is refusing to release his medical records to them.

I don't like to bite the hand that's responsible for keeping our son alive, but Shits about to get ugly with these people I have had enough.

Did he sign medical release forms? I am sure he must have. If he did, that is all they frickin need! Copying medical records is a PIA and given what you have told me, I bet they are dragging their feet because their records are in disarray and someone is not feeling motivated to print them out.

Just wanted to clarify something. We suffered a minor setback this morning when we were told the Graph had failed. "Woe are we", took control for a few hours and then we shook it off. We are a strong Family. We sat down and got our taxes done today, joked about the crayola heads and shared memes we thought were funny.

Tomorrow is a new day, and we start a new day without remorse or anger.

What a nightmare.

My sister in-law was able to have at home dialysis it was daily. Could this be an option?

She was 25 at the time. She had one transplant that failed after about 5 years then received another. She is going on 15 years now rice the second transplant and is doing great. I am keeping your family in my prayers.

He should ask them about CAPD (continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis). He would not need a graft. He would get a port in his abdomen. Fluid is exchanged 4 times daily through his abdomen. The dialysis fluid adsorbs the impurities in his blood, and then is drained out. Also, I'm thinking they are not flushing his graft with saline, and that's why it is clotting. I worked in the office of a dialysis clinic (35 years), but have heard enough talk in the break room to know a little about the medical side. Prayers always for you and yours!

They have scheduled him with a Hematologist to get him on a blood thinner. He has been having clotting issues since this started. He has a port in his Chest, a failed Fistula and now a failed graph and two prior attempts to put a port in his neck. His left arm is a real mess. And he has numbness in his wrist, hand and fingers, from the failed attempts.

This last one was the fifth attempt.

Wow! It sounds like they are incompetent, and your only option would be to change providers, or am I way off base? I have had three surgeries on the back/neck, and two on one knee, and I can't believe how many mistakes were made along the way! Especially the back.
