Our bar does not allow weapons on the premises by policy, but there is no law restricting the possession of firearms in an establishment where people routinely overconsume alcohol. That being said, I don't believe that such a law would have prevented this incident. How do you regulate responsible firearm ownership without violating the Second Amendment? Alcohol and weapons of any kind don't mix. When we walked to the bus stop to go to school in the morning we saw a big bloody mess on the sidewalk.

Quoting: Riff-Raff Have a couple of strong 2nd Amendment friends who are adamant that even DRUNKS in BARS should be able to carry, both open and concealed. Having seen many bar fights when I was younger I keep telling them they are NUTS ... but they are adamant that even in bars that have fights every weekend night (been in a few of those in my life), sometimes more than one big fight a night, people should have the right to be in there drinking and getting drunk while carrying and the Bar should have NO ability to ban them from carrying while inside. I support the 2nd Amendment ... but then there is also Common Sense, which it seems many ideologues seem to think is hogwash.
