Oh shit mega doom! US officially withdrawing from Turkish border abandoning Syrian Kurds. Reports of attacks beginning. SDF predicts all out war

The Turks are blinded. Period. POTUS had that part of the plan set. The Turks thought they would get U.S. logistical support for their military operations against the Kurds. So much for that.

On the other hand, the Kurdish leadership had to have known at some point, the U.S. shield would be pulled away and that they would have to fight on their own. If U.S. Army SF did their jobs right and I believe they did, the Kurds have become effective CIDGs. The Turks would be having a very hard time with that. Add to SF doing FID operations with the Kurds, I'd say they're a pretty effective fighting force. Now, that both Presidents Assad (ghost) and Putin (the real boss in Syria), can actually back the Kurds from a Turkish military incursion. The Syrian/Russian alliance will not permit the Turks to run roughshod and establish a active military AO inside Syria.

Finally, the U.S. and UK were never legally permitted to enter in and establish AOs inside Syria. Regardless of what anyone here says or thinks on the matter, that was an illegal invasion. Yet, somehow, international law was bypassed in the name of greed, money, and regime change. Imagine if some foreign did that in America outright. Annex a portion of the country to run military and destab operations to bring down America for the good of the world. That would be both wrong and unthinkable, right? Yet, we have a Senate that's railing against the President for pulling out of Syria because it goes against their interests. They have no care or interest in helping the Kurdish people. None. They railed against Obama when he went in and now they rail against Trump when he wants to pull out.

Damned either way.

The forces that are inside Syria will redeployed to another AO.
