Thanks, Luis, for keeping us up to date on this monster storm! Wonder what the water temp is there?

My Dad fought aboard the carrier USS Essex in WWII and despite many enemy attacks including kamikazis, he said the only time he was truly scared was when the ship was in a typhoon for two days.

Seas bounced the ship so hard that it knocked the forward gyrocompass on the bridge out of it's stand where it floated in a pool of mercury.

Prayers for the folks about to face the fury of this storm.
