once turkey has its buffer zone it shouldn't object to allowing Syrian govt to reassert control over that entire region near its border, subject maybe to some conditions on the border

syria will be supported by Russia and Iran in this and turkey would have little reason to antagonize its partners in the region once the Kurdish threat has been removed

and of course, prior to merka and Israel inventing ISIS, syria itself prevented the Kurds from establishing a foothold on that border
