I hope it turns out to be nothing at all. Both. the lowest I can get relaxing for 20 minutes is 138 / 95 Gosh that's way lower than mine was, of course reduce stress, but for me REDUCING SALT works, everyone is different though. If you're electrolytes are off there's a big problem. Magnesium DOES work for a lot of people. Also, I took potassium citrate, powdered form, worked great, but then upset stomach, so then switched on and off to potassium glutamate, will calm you like a baby, but get doctor approval. Potassium is a diuretic, that's what most BP meds are. BP meds didn't work on me, they can make you worse if it's an electrolyte issue. Hawthorne has also worked for me, but have to get right form. |

I'm about 135/74 now, and feel sluggish .. Blood pressure itself doesn’t kill you. It is the reason why younger blood pressure that does. Simply lowering the bp does not stop the underlying issue :goon: |

Going in to the doctor Wednesday morning. Quoting: WyatteSmith :thankyou: in advance. I can only give you my story as this is fact I went to the doctor about 2 years ago, blood pressure was high as hell I think sit was like 180/120 something in that range The nurse said I need to make an appointment with my doctor the next day and see if I might need some BP meds Well, needless to say I hate prescription pills So, that night after leaving the doctor I searched for an alternative Came across an article about COQ10 I went to walmart and bought a bottle Not sure what to expect I started taking it immediately I thought I will try it for a few days and see if it does anything Well, the next day I made an appointment for my doctor for 3 days out Well, I took these pills and went to my doctor appointment The of course checked my BP. It was down to 135/100 I thought well that's an improvement I kept taking the pills for the rest of the month Went back to my doctor once more, was doing some blood work, just to check cholesterol levels and stuff like that Checked BP, it was 120/85 Needless to say I have been taking them everyday since My BP has been 120/80 to 120/85 for the last 2 years Has not went any higher, i mean maybe when I get angry or whatever but other than that its been in that range BP can fluctuate depending on if you are in pain, angry, etc... But you can take COQ10 anytime it is good for other things as well That would be my advice |

A lot of pills but its inexpensive. Oh and yes very important take on an empty stomach if possible. If you need to take with food don't take with proteins like meat or it will have to compete with absorption. No harm it just won't be as effective. Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then. If the more I know, the more I know I don’t know, then do I truly know what I know because I know I don’t? You cannot reach a correct conclusion if you begin with an incorrect assumption |

ANTI OXIDANTS IF YOU LOVE BLUEBERRIES, green tea, ALMONDS, orange juice, PARSLEY. drink one beer at least once a week, twice or three times if you buy a 24 pack. If your going to drink any soda, drink caffeinated and remember to not eat any cream cheese. if you need to introduce more fiber into your diet, rolled oats is simply the only choice i believe in. unfortunately the access to it is not popular. dont eat oatmeal; instead find a grain bread with rolled oats on the top. also seasame on burger buns is advisable to skip altogether. lay down on your back and sides often but never go upside down while dealing with high blood pressure. the cardic pulmonary muscle is meant to be used comfortably with gravity weighted down on it. if you have a trampoline, jump on it until you get immediately short of breath and then stop so you can give your lungs the adrenaline of human tissue repair (relaxation will promote altered growth and decay patterns in the body) finally if your sick sith a cold, strep, or flu. immediately enjoy things like echinacea, ginger tea, raw herbs, peppermints, sunflower oil salad, split pea soup, raw cucumber and oven baked turkey/ or spicy tuna sushi rolls. garlic will reduce blood pressure over time but if you havent eaten both raw and cooked garlic alot; then find the garleek pills or garlic oil pills because it does work and is the fastest helpful thing out there. sweet white corn if you dont eat any fiber bread or breakfast cereal. avoid eating too much cereal or loading up on daily multivitamins. its better to get a burst of the vitamins and antioxidants from veggies listed above and or limiting them. not a diet, but a altered pattern of eating to cut out all cream cheese and maximize the use of herbs parsley cilantro basil mint rosemary paprika tumeric oregano |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 9495860 United States 10/07/2019 11:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I had to go allopathic meds because mine was (due to a traumatic stress) 190+/120. Have to use BP meds, (two) still, along with FISH oil, CoQ10, garlic, (red rice and red pepper are good, but i'm not doing that right now), cinnamon for stable blood sugar. quitting my nasty job lowered it by 30 points. Hopefully you will only have to monitor, make changes that you can. If they issue you meds, supplement with the above and then decrease BP meds. I get blowouts big bruises from the pharmacy meds, and coughing fits that are side effects. Good Luck. |

I don't think it needs to be vigorous exercise but the more you can do the better. Stiff rigid blood vessels from inactivity means your body has no natural pressure relief. It's just like any pipe system. Last Edited by TexasPaleo on 10/08/2019 07:15 AM |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 76140145 United States 10/08/2019 07:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I live in wisconsin also - A year and half ago, I was feeling light-headed, so much that I was afraid to drive - felt like I might pass out. My BP was running up to 200/125 - I couldn't believe it. ER gave me a liter of IV hydration and electrolytes and ativan IV and my BP wouldn't come down. Dr. put me on losartan/HCTz and it lowered my BP to 120/80 - only side effect I get is lower back pain sometimes. I've had every test you can imagine - from echocardiogram, kidney ultrasound, cortisol testing - all blood work coming back normal. My mother, who had none of the vices I have (smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol) had always been on a BP med. Sometimes genetics is all it takes. I know if I had the time to swim 3 times a week for an hour - like I used to have - I could lower it myself, but I guess I'll have to wait til I retire - I'm 56. Whatever you do - do not let them put you on statin drugs for cholesterol!!!!!! |

User ID: 72031485 United States 10/08/2019 08:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Salt and potassium balance each other, so if eating high salt you waste potassium We need 4700mg of potassium daily, eating high potassium foods is great, but often not enough "No Salt" brand salt replacer is made from potassium You can purchase bulk supplement potassium, important to measure, mixes with water Potassium citrate, potassium bicarbonate, potassium chloride Beans, beans, beans.....like lima, black eyed peas and garbanzo, they are a good source of potassium, and a great source of soluble fiber. Soluble fiber is good for you unlike regular fiber. Soluble fiber binds to toxic bile and removes it from the body. Without soluble fiber the bile recirculates and gets toxic and sludgy. Intermittent fasting....simply at least 16 hours a day with no food, only water or black coffee. This time away from food allows the body time to repair and heal, reduces inflammation. Do not eat spinach, it is very high in oxalates which are poison. The active ingriedient in Round up is a form of oxalate, oxalates destroy your gut biome, cause kidney stones and joint pain. For the best information on soluble fiber look up Karen Hurd. For the most current information on oxalates Trying Low Oxalates T L O is the best resource Tons of information about intermittent fasting out there, but the secret is the clean fast, plain water or black coffee only, no flavors. Delay don't Deny is a great resource, lots of people healing all kinds of health issues. Dr. Fung is a good source as well. Remember your Doctor is bound by standard of care. If your blood pressure is within a certain range they are required to suggest or prescribe meds, although some will let you try and reduce it with natural methods short term. Good luck, wonderful you are researching this all before your appointment, as you are your best advocate. "You can bend it and twist it... You can misuse and abuse it... Quoting: WyatteSmith in advance. Apple cider vinegar and water. (lots online about that) Ceylon Cinnamon Dandelion Root Tea A few tips that I do. (I am on meds also.) First - don't miss meds once u get them. Turn off the news - put TV on cooking channel - kick back in chair - feet up - and get some Lorazepam also. Take 1/4 of pill when u feel stress coming on. Also, the tea mentioned above. Also, I buy the garlic stuff green olives and eat several per day. Just whenever - grab an olive or two. Also, eat healthy, lose weight, avoid bad foods. Stay AWAY from stressful situations, people, etc. Keep volume down on TV, and if u start feeling 'high' - go into room alone, no matter what it takes and find quiet and relaxing - old cowboy movie, or whatever. KEEP THE NEWS off and stay away from crazy internet news. |

Both. the lowest I can get relaxing for 20 minutes is 138 / 95 The answer lies in reducing your carb intake. By doing so you will also reduce the amounts of water you retain and your blood pressure that has to fight to get through all that water retention. If you can't cut way back on carbs you may require blood thinners. Vitamin E is a natural blood thinner as is garlic capsules. Your doctor will probably prescribe Lisinopril or some other BP med. I would opt for carb reduction, myself. |
