Many teens with Aspergers also have a higher prevelance of gender dysphoria. As an aspie myself I wouldn't qualify that as a mental illness, just different brain wiring. That being said I believe many of these young people have been made victims, pressure to maim their bodies by big pharm. Gender dysphoria is real but it's not being treated correctly. I don't know the answer for these young people but I'm glad to see that many are turning away from the surgery trend.
