Message Subject A Tidal Wave of Transgender Regret for 'Hundreds' of People: 'They Don't Feel Better
Poster Handle Anonymous Coward
Post Content
I recently met a trans girl.
She's smart
highly intelligent
very attractive
is asexual
going to a Christian College
wants to do missionary work
has alot of faith in God

She is one of the nicest, kindest, most well balanced, stable, beautiful and pure souls I have met in almost my entire life.

I feel so incredibly blessed to have her as a friend. She's honestly a blessing to everyone who knows her, and a really cool person.

You want to know what I care about?

I care about her right to choose the life she wanted, to choose what was right for her. I care about her personal freedoms to do with her body as she chooses.

I think the thing this young woman has taught me more than anything else on this earth is gender and sex are not the same thing. She has no sexual preference yet is still transgender. If all of this is just some perversion than why would that even be possible? Because it's her brain. Her brain in my mind and in my opinion is actually female. It must have been miserable for her to deal with being in the wrong body, being different, still having a faith in God. Luckily for her there are many many Churches and places for people who are transgender now, that don't try to discourage people from being themselves. That she has found both God and her true self and is living the most honest and truthful life she can.

So, I'm not sure what your point is with people who regret.
I think people are people
they regret joining religions
they regret getting married, geez what are those numbers, should no one get married?
they regret taking a job
they regret moving somewhere
they regret taking a drug
they regret not doing something as well
I mean, what does regret prove?
Athletes regret playing a sport because it wrecks their bodies
women regret having kids some times, should they stop?

idk what the point of your thread is even about

This right here is the only truth. While I have opinions on trans in general, the people doing it or going through it are not me.I believe in freedoms, PERIOD. Limiting someone's ability to live the life they want because you disagree with it is dumb. It's sad to see people hoot and holler about how they want less government or less intrusion into their own freedoms until it's something they disagree with. When they disagree with it they want bans and boycotts and everything else... They're no different than gun grabbing liberals, not a single ounce of difference. If someone is making a choice about whatever and it's not taking the freedoms and liberties away from someone else, who cares, that's America.

Do you see anyone in the thread saying it ought to be illegal for an adult to live as something other than what he or she was born as? Kids are a different matter, but you're confusing thinking something is a terrible idea with wanting to ban it. I don't give a damn if some crazy 35-year-old wants to chop off his dick. I just don't want it pushed on children, and really, I don't think it's a good idea to publicize it at all. It's a private decision made by a crazy person. That should be the end of it. We have freedom of speech, though, so they are free to advocate it all they want. I am also free to advocate against it.
