Last year whole cities burnt down and the fire moved so fast that people didn't have enough warning time to escape. I'm guessing you weren't impacted by it or you probably wouldn't be complaining about going without power for 5-7 days to prevent another catastrophe. Very small price to pay in comparison. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Several cities in the Bay Area are
likely to be impacted by PG&E’s Public Safety Power
Shutoffs this week, including parts of Napa, Contra Costa
and Alameda counties.

San Jose — Mayor Sam Liccardo said residents and business
in east and south San Jose should prepare to be without
power for up to seven days.

I am in a rural area that is affected by this power outage. But " a country boy can survive"

Our biggest challenge, is stock water for our animals. They drink alot. And this time of year, all the ponds and creeks are dry so we rely on our wells to pump water for them. We're hanging tough so far.......

The company said these claims were based on payments made by insurance companies to individuals and businesses with insurance coverage for wildfire damages.
