If power is turned off, does that mean cell phone towers have no power as well?
Quoting: dukusprime Virtually all cell towers have backup power that engages automatically. Many are battery based, some are generator based. The systems have improved. Years ago they could run for a few hours, depending on traffic. Now most (I think) are a day or more. But I am not aware of any that could run for multiple days without support.
