When combined with a second offensive by the CalEPA to restrict clearing on their rights of way, they killed the largest public utility in America. PG&E is facing at least $30bil in fire judgements and $100bil in maintenance backlog. Officers of the company have been threatened with criminal liability. They ABSOLUTELY made the right decision to hit the off switch. This is all true. That company was being dismantled back in the 90's and before. Two guys in their garage could declare themselves a power utility, and PGE would have to let them use PGE lines to "deregulate" the State. Welcome to Cali nuttiness' with progressives who really do think money grows on trees and there are no real world consequences to forcing people/groups/companies to comply with their insane "feel" good corruption.
