That is f'ed up. Need to remember this when they arrest the perp. When pets are old and dying, is when they need the most amount of empathy and care.

Although throwing out a dog seems horrible, I simply don't believe that animals have rights or any protection under our laws. Animals themselves have no laws, nor do they vote nor pay taxes. Pets are essentially property.

No, animals don't have souls nor do they have a spiritual life. Sure, they communicate and even possess a kind of intelligence. However, none of that entitles them to us giving them "animal rights" and protection under human laws.

Pets are property. Animals are under our stewardship. Throwing out an old dog is not something I'd do, but it's essentially the same thing as having it euthanized by a veterinarian. Explain to me how having a dog "put down" at the vets is any worse than having it "put down" in the trash? Other than feelings and emotions there's really no difference.

As for myself, I don't even own a pet, I don't own any such property, because I believe that animals are born free. Animals also carry diseases and filth, so I don't believe they belong in the same household as myself and my family.
