In California today, officials at UC Berkeley are canceling all classes today as a result of Pacific Gas & Electric's planned power outage. The electric company has notified university administration that most of the core campus will be without power starting at about 8am.

Doesn't anyone find this strange, shutting off power because of high wind? Yet, winds have been much higher in the past?

I am in the center of it all, and there is no damn wind and its foggy, they are lying.

No shit we are being railroaded by Rothschilds Holdings PG&E, and our elected officials are lock step letting it happen. People and animals will die if this keeps up. Two states now, you all should be worried.

I think it's more like simple negligence and work load backups; they can't keep up with whatever happen last time, a lot of lines are being held together with shoe string. It's particulary bad in California becasue they restricted underground. wires..wait...

Wow if there was ever a time to own a solar powered geared up Van, now would be it. Think about it, you have one all decked out in the driveway, the power goes and you're good to go for weeks. I really wish I had a partner to do this stuff with.
