They're planning to shut off power to parts of Los Angeles County, too: [ link to losangeles.cbslocal.com (secure)] And it appears the Southern California Edison website is down. If you're anywhere in California, plan to be without power. So this morning I mentioned to DIL that Cali is having this major "power off" thingy due to high winds. She says, "Yeah, blah, blah, blah, it happens all the time...." They just moved OUT of Cali, but apparently she didn't think it's a big deal. I said, "They're saying it'll be out for up to 10 days." She says, "Yeah, whatever....." We'll see what she says when her beloved DADDY and sister and brother there have NO POWER FOR TEN DAYS!!!! Right now, she's safe and sound here in FL and acting like this is SOP.
