Number of customers out now climbing, but very slowly. Up to 547,649 as of 4:45 PM local time for Pacific Gas and Electric (northern part of the state). Will probably climb over the evening hours. Worst hit are the areas in the Sierras, the mountainous areas north from the bay, and Napa/Sonoma Counties (wine country) just north of the bay. [ link to poweroutage.us (secure)]
