my bad, it was already after 2000. Either way, the systems start @ about $100,000.00, that is why many manufacturers don't have said systems. Power Factor Correction. Major users of Power need to add an inductive / capacitive Power Factor Correction system to their facilities. I tried to tell them that in the 90's. They didn't listen as usual. oh well. I forgot to mention, I know someone who works at CalISO (manages Kommiefornia's powergrid) and a former GE Power Distribution engineer. Did you know that most of Kommiefornia's electrical power companies run their equipment at 95%. The power grid is overloaded and equipment lifetime is reduced. Think of it like running your car engine near red-line. How long do you think the engine will last?
