I am in Santa Rosa. Power went out last night and is still off. We have had a generator for several years with a Honda engine. It works great. Had our refrigerator hooked up to it. Here is the deal: We got 13 Nixle reports since yesterday about the power being off. I was doing my every 15 mi ute glance at alertwildfire and there was a fire earlier near Wallace.road. Did we get an alert about that fire? Answer --NO!. People around town freaking out. As long as you are prepared it goes okay. You would think it was the end of the world. I find it amusing. The senior citizens my significant other dealt with today take it in stride. They were well prepared and it is only a minor inconvenience. Younger kids who never lived through a tornado, hurrica e, ice storm or earthquake almost losing it. The wind is really picking up now. I will post if it gets bad.

Did you know that most of Kommiefornia's electrical power companies run their equipment at 95%. The power grid is overloaded and equipment lifetime is reduced. Think of it like running your car engine near red-line. How long do you think the engine will last?
