It is sad what is happening with the infrastructure in California because of a perfectly normal, multiple times a year, weather event.

If it had to happen the only sadder thing is that the most blue bastions in the state were almost totally spared ... while it was the more conservative parts of the state that are bearing the pain with these blackouts.

Current number without power are 624,000 customers, which means about 2,000,000+- people and 65,000+- businesses. LOTS of monetary loss is occurring to LOTS of people as this grinds on.
