'Bind down the eyes, the hands, the feet, which should be slack for Manna when he will dance in the theatre.' The architect of the curse beseeches the aid of a number of deities, including the Ibis-headed Egyptian god of writing, wisdom and judgement, Thoth. Also invoked are the 'demons of the sky, demons of the air, demons of the earth, underworld demons, demons of the sea, of the rivers [and] demons of the springs.' 'Twist, darken, bind down, bind down together the eyes [of Manna]', the inscription continues — imploring that 'he should move slowly and lose his equilibrium' and 'should be bent and unseemly.' |

The only site that had it would only give me the portion without the translation. oh well. Looking closer, the text was in GK. I erred in assuming it was in Hebrew. Ancient GK alchemy. It's hilarious how the author assumed that 'Manna' was the name of the dancer. LOL. Also, can anyone imagine that the GK that inscribed it so carefully on Lead so it would endure time, would detail how viewers of a Theater dancer were so disappointed by a dancer that they tortured her/him to death? Makes perfect sense. Archeologists are the most ignorant and subjective group out of all the sciences. Wait? did I call it a science? LOL. |

Yeah it seems like a big stretch to call Manna one specific person. Reads more like an entity. |
