How many peeps on here run a virtual machine VM as their desktop?

just curious how many are using a VM running on a PC or MAC. and if not why arent you? Are you aware of the protection and flexibility it provides? the only real necessity is an SSD or NVMe, which is standard on most PCs nowadays.
