It generates GDP. If we don't go to war somewhere every couple years at least, the US economy will collapse. Check the numbers. Lockheed, Boeing, etc. [ link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] All the ones with US flags pay US taxes. Ever wonder why working for a "military contractor" is so popular now a days? Yeah but its bankrupting us, Soon just the interest on our debt will cost more then our entire military budget. So its not really good for the economy. It is also diverting funds that could be used for infrastructure which would create just as many jobs. I agree. American tax dollars are supposed to be spent on things that will benefit American tax payers. Pretty simple math.
