The pigs are the deep state. The animals are the american citizens. The animals go to war because the pigs convince the animals that they are fighting for freedom. A few animals speak out and try to warn others that the pigs are really in charge, but they are ignored and ridiculed. The silly animals believe that they are fighting for their own freedom, and not on behalf of the pigs, until the day that the pigs decide that the animals are no longer useful and the charade ends.
