Be careful, this stuff can be all propaganda.

Edward Bernays was hired by Lucky Strike in the 20s to boost sales. As an advertising executive, he realized immediately the problem was the packaging. The package was Green. To change the packaging to Red would have cost too much, so he hired a ballroom and had a Green Ball. Everyone dressed in Green (at least the women). He sponsored interior designers to use green and put these designs in magazines. He made green fashionable and Lucky Strikes sales skyrocketted.

seems like both paint companies referenced the sky... guess we are supposed to look heavenward this year!

I like Naval and In the Navy, two Sherwin Williams navy blues that look great on shutters and doors.

I have been waiting for the announcement for weeks! I am having painting done now, and was curious what the direction would be....

hold on....

the color is at least optimistic.....do they imagine the dems will win in 2020?

oh yeah - it's millennial PINK! not quite FLAMINGO PINK!

here is the news about FIRST LIGHT

yup, it is called FIRST LIGHT

For a few months every year at Benjamin Moore, a team of color specialists gets a little more philosophical than usual. "What does 2020 mean? And how can we express that with a color?" These are the questions Andrea Magno, Benjamin Moore's director of color marketing and development, has been asking as she and her team canvas trade shows, visit art exhibitions, study trend reports, and file away the colorful sightings of their daily lives. Their job? To take the temperature of the times and select a single hue from a deck of more than 3,500 that sums up the results.

and:

This year, the winning paint chip is First Light, a soft, not-too-sweet pink that is flattering and fun. As the Benjamin Moore team looked forward to a new decade, they searched for a color that could capture their budding sense of optimism about the next 10 years. "When you look at color over time there is often a direct relationship between what shades are popular and what is happening in the world," Magno explains to AD PRO. "At the brink of 2020 we were just thinking, Let’s be upbeat; let’s be happy."

Orange is the secret trans ID color. Not secret to them. Nothing to do with potus (orange man) — ? Not sure... but when/if you see people wearing orange, giving the “peace” sign (Baphomet salute) it’s a sure sign. Now that I know this, I’ve seen it over and over.

I like pink in all its shades and I am a conservative woman. I will not tolerate having COLORS politicized now! But they are! Red and Blue. Black and White. Rainbow.

your color of the year.

Not sure why this is being labeled by GLP as "Millennial Pink." This and other similar pastel colors were used extensively in the late 80's and early 90s. They used to call this one "Coral."

Here Beeches, the Pantone Spring/Summer 2020 were released last month. The selection may make you feel better! Scarlet red leads the list!

[link to wwd.com (secure)]

True to the spirit of the all-are-welcome fashion world, Pantone’s spring-summer 2019-20 has something for everyone. At the top of the list is the not-to-be-missed Flame Scarlet and the equally eye-opening Saffron. This season also has a healthy dose of tried-and-true blue, with three versions landing in the top 10 ranking.

Pink, a happy color.

Thought it was white by the dabbed color dot on the lid at Walmart. Turned out to be Pelican Mist Gray. Oops wrong color that one finds unexpectedly.

"Is it... a really gray, light Lilac?"

We tried pink but it was too damned happy!
