To hide this huge historical truth, the church fathers change babble into the "mysteries of the bible". Why would god makes wishes a mystery, confusing and incoherent in many passages. Before the sheep could read, the priests read it to them. Now that we can read it ourselves and reason the passages,we raise questions which causes the leaders,publicly, cant say unintelligible ramblings. Faith is belief with no good reason. That is true of the entire bible and the last few gods we have left. I cant explain one mythical tale when it's a entire book of mythical tales. There are hundreds of Christian sects, find the that spins it the way you like and you have found a home. Or reject the entire myth and live your life free of myths...or not. You might as well as if all Santa's reindeer can fly or just a few. The reason and logic you would use to debunk that tale can now be applied to all passages that your bible contains.

A day with the Lord is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day is not a literal 1 day = 1000 years and vice versa.

It means time is nothing to God. He lives outside of time and He created time for mankind not Himself. He is eternal, Alpha and Omega.

Now as to the OPs question. Some things are not necessarily for our understanding now. We can speculate what that is but unless there is clear scriptural teaching we must just let it be and see.

Actually I think it means both.

Both interpretations are correct, the bible might be more accurate than you think.

We were weighed in the balances and found wanting. Weighed as GOLD.....

The figure 5760 is how gold is weighed....as there are 5760 grains in a troy ounce of GOLD.

Remember 19 plus years wandered for 20 plus years to total the prophetic 40 year generating time period.

The first day of 5780 is 10/2/2019.....

10/2/2019 + 305 days ends the 1/2 hour of silence....of 20.83 years.

10/2/19 plus 305 days brings US to the date of 8/1/2020.

On 8/1/2020 the MAJOR Jewish Holy day is TISH'A B'AV, this is the day that the destruction of the 2 temples is observed.....the 9th of Av 5780.
