America's farmers are being decimated by the climate and weather, not the kabuki trade war. This cute little deal of China purchasing 'farm products' is quite hilarious in its detail - they have agreed to pay for a large portion of the farmer insurance bailout which is going to run over 100 billion - and Trump can't pay for it. That's the 'product', as there's no surplus agriculture to buy. Everyone knows this - but propping up that market a little while longer takes precedence.

True, something changed from last May.

Trump said in his Louisiana rally that this new agreement will be a win/win for both countries and that American farmers will sell more than they can keep up with. Sounds optimistic.

I noticed a cable supplier I have bought large QTY from in the past raised their prices on 1000' CAT6 Plenum cable from 99 to 169 .

That would be the increase at retail if the 30% tariff happens. (30% x 2)
