It's more important than ever that this person be exposed. Well, Trump is taking care of that problem. The NSC staff was up to 300 under Obama. Sometime next year it should drop below 100 under O'Brien. If you fire or transfer everyone you don't trust in the US bureaucracy - you end up with a very lean organization. At about 90 people - the NSC leaks will stop - because it will be obvious who is leaking. And they won't have a cadre of Trump-haters to back them up. As far as revealing the whistleblowers, the whistleblower is known to the Intel IG and probably the DOJ and a number of people in the food chain. Seems to be narrowed down to one of two people, and Fiona Hill is alleged to be the second Whistleblower. Won't stay hidden forever - and if the first whistleblower is investigated for violations (he went around the chain of command to meet with Schiff) his cover will be blown. |
