According to Asahi Shimbun, a temporary storage facility containing some 2,667 bags stuffed with radioactive contaminants from the 2011 Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster was unexpectedly inundated by floodwaters brought by Typhoon Hagibis. [ link to www.taiwannews.com.tw (secure)] Was waiting for this news Quoting: Goofy for God Horrible! We were on the beach regularly right after that disaster before we knew the danger, and items from Japan washed up constantly. So now there will be bags, those which weren't torn open on their journey, arriving on the USA beaches. Many in this area who have no idea what's coming will be opening the bags, poking around them, out of curiosity. I shake my head at the wisdom of storing them right by a river, knowing the frequency of earthquakes and severe storms in that area.More death in the ocean. Dear God, what man has done to this beautiful natural world - I am so very sorry. Quoting: Pooka
