Leftists Hate ‘Joker’ Because Joker Is The Left

The movie accurately depicts the left thru it’s main character. Let’s break it down quickly:
The guy is at least 40 years old, lives with his cat loving mom, is highly medicated and clearly psychotic. He can’t hold a job, thinks he is a victim and that the world is out to get him. He has no respect for law enforcement, encourages a mob mentality when fighting innocent bystanders, thinks there are no consequences to his actions. Is extremely entitled. Doesn’t understand why people have alternative/opposing views. Thinks opposing views are “dangerous” - immediately deploys violence.

Highly medicated. Highly, highly medicated.

This IS the left.

You can be a right winger and hate rich people. The joker didn't reveal his politics.

Leftists thrive on hate. They embrace it and promote it to serve their purpose.

Reading this makes me want to see the movie.

There’s been a lot of digital ink spilled over the new film Joker, but what’s fascinating to me about it is how much of what the critics said is simply absurd. To be sure, artistic works, like life itself, are open to interpretation, but in both cases — works and life — you’ve got to stick to the facts to get at the truth.

Joker is, for all intents and purposes, a comic book remake of the 1976 Martin Scorsese film Taxi Driver. It’s the story of a troubled loner’s descent into violence. I should say up front that I don’t like comic book movies very much and I didn’t like Taxi Driver very much, so I wasn’t the film’s most sympathetic audience. That said, I found Joker stylish, watchable, and well-done with some enriching plot ambiguities. I also found it tonally monotonous and overly derivative.

But the panic the film set off among leftist critics may be the most interesting thing about the movie. To be sure, the film’s talented director Todd Phillips taunted the leftist Outrage Beast when he gave an interview criticizing the humorlessness of woke culture. The left responded by being humorlessly woke, proving the guy’s point. After that, Phillips had a target on his back.

No matter how you feel about the movie’s protagonist, the one thing Joker is not is a Trump voter. He’s a leftist: a self-pitying victim; a hater of the rich; a man who takes no responsibility for his own actions but instead blames the unfairness of society. In fact, all in all, the movie is a thoroughly justifiable satire of leftist talking points. It is not — like the excellent Dark Knight trilogy — a philosophical kick in the groin to leftism in general. But it does hold the mirror up to leftist culture — and the image in the glass is not pretty.

I saw the movie. It was a weird snore fest. Then BAM graphic realistic murder. Then more weird boring snore fest. The highlight of the movie was Deniro's character getting offed only bc irl he is such a douche bag. Too bad it was loaded with blanks irl...

No question there is hate on the Left and the Right. But the very foundations of the Left are built on hate, resentment, greivences and victimology. Hate is what the Left uses to build their power base. It totally consumes them. The Left needs everyone to see themselves as a victim so that big government can save them. People on the Right tend to be optimistic and studies have proven they are much happier than people on the Left.

I'm left and I liked the movie.

Joker isn't political. He says so in the movie. When he talks to the talkshow host, he says he doesn't care about politics. And everything in the movie would suggest he doesn't even pay attention to politics. He's more interested in dancing, comedy, tv and music. Everything he does is because he takes everything personal. He wants to get back at everyone who was mean to him.

So you're very wrong. He doesn't even care about the protesters or politics.

Why did Satan make me and many others hate the movie Avatar with no reason before even seeing it?! That was weird.
