2009 Movie: The Fourth Kind (The missing eyewitness testimony of the deputy's dash cam video)

A peculiar case , was it fiction?

It's a movie.

10 years later and you still haven't realized that?

Thought it was based on real event and dramatized.

The movie was supposed to be based on tape recordings, and video footage that have been distorted. It is also suppoosed to be based on the accounts from a psycholgist named Dr Tyler that was the mother of the girl that was taken, and possibly two other phd drs.

How the vids got distorted seems obvious. The real videos are always taken away, destroyed, or lost, just like the pentagon vid from the gas station across the street on 911.

If you haven't seen the movie, I don't want to spoil it, and it's not bad...

The purpose of the thread was to highlight the dashcam video from the deputy.

He is heard saying something very pecular on the video, and his account of what happened should have been in the police report.

The movie never addresses this and never tells the deputy's name.

It literally is about verifing the words said by the deputy and not assuming any truth to the movie or claiming fiction.

I thought it was real too then got confused about yes there is real people but yes the movie industry admitted it wasnt true. Has always confused me. Normally that would be docudrama(true but dramatized).

It was based off of the one sole fact that the FBI investigated paranormal activity in that town. Nothing was discovered and all the footage in the movie is fake and dramatized.

Actually it was disappearances that occurred between the 60s-2000s. They had a theory it was a serial killer because the pattern was all men who visited the village. They concluded there was no serial killer and closed the case.

People disappear a lot in Alaska.

“ Nome Alaska Missing People – Truth vs. Fiction

The true part of the story is as follows.

In 2005, FBI homicide detectives did in fact investigate the mysterious disappearance of 24 people that had taken place in Nome between the 1960s and 2004, which caused locals to initially think there was a serial killer involved.

However, The Fourth Kind is based on a conspiracy theory from the movie producers as to why those people went missing from Nome, and that they were actually abducted by aliens.

The footage in the film that shows hypnotherapy sessions taking place between “Dr. Abigail Tyler”, played by Milla Jovovich, and the patients who claimed they had been abducted. The movie was dubbed as being, “the most disturbing evidence of alien abduction ever documented.” (5)

Between the FBI dismissing the Nome missing people’s case as being due to “excessive alcohol and a harsh winter climate”, and movie producers ‘cashing in’ on the story by producing a fabricated tale about alien abduction, it is hardly surprising that the families of those who disappeared are upset about the lack of case closure.”
