Anonymous Coward User ID: 77640440 United States 10/17/2019 03:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, after perusing many choices I remembered watching an article on the Space pens. I tend to be a write on the fly guy and when writing against say, a wall I was always frustrated by normal pens going dry after a few words. The Space pens use a pressurized insert so wall writers like myself can scribble to their heart's content. I settled on a pair of Fisher matte black military pens. [link to www.ebay.com (secure)] I'll give a review once I get them in. But I think I'm going to like them. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 77640440 United States 10/22/2019 06:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I got the Fishers in and they are... ok. They don't have the heft I was looking for, actually the body is rather light and they are a skinny pen. They have a slight drag when writing, and I guess the only benefit to these is an all metal body that won't fall apart when you lean over something with one in your pocket. One thing I do like is the pocket clip is nice and tight, ensuring the pen doesn't come rocketing out of your pocket when you bend over. The search continues... |

User ID: 39607259 United States 10/22/2019 07:12 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I had a nice pen once. I don't know who made it. It had weight to it and it wrote very nice. I lent it to someone and never saw it again. Quoting: CosmicFire I miss the feel of it and I've found the nicer the pen the longer I hang onto it. I'm tired of the plastic crap free pens. I'm looking for something heavy and well made. Any suggestions? The best pens I have were given to me on Father's day...they didn't write great but I enjoyed them more... They're plastic, but they are great for drawing or writing. ```````````````` ````__/\__`````` ~~~\____/~~~~ .~~..~~~....~~~ ~..~~~....~~~~ Thoughts do not come from you nor God; you do not create thoughts; you are not your thoughts; every thought is a lie. - 2 Corinthians 10:5 - [link to www.biblegateway.com (secure)] |

User ID: 76718879 United States 10/22/2019 07:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Best beginners fountain pen IMO is a Pilot Metropolitan...cheap ($19.95?) nice look and feel and writes VERY well..Comes with a cartridge...Lotsa fun give one a try Best Gel is IMO a Zebra Sarasa...like the G2 except MUCH faster drying (no smudges) G2's take forever to dry... Best 'nice' pen? Go for a Montblanc 163 (thats the rollerball version of their Meisterstuck line) Use only the MB refills for it as they write very nicely... MB 163 can be grabbed pretty cheap on Ebay...you'll love the look and feel! Last Edited by DRGONZO on 10/22/2019 07:36 AM |

I bought a pair of zebra F-301, it's an okay pen. It a. 7mm and writes fine. Literally. Tiny lines. It does glide better on the paper than the Fisher and the Fisher is a little heavier, but they are the same size. |

What would you let a thread about a particular writing utensil whip you into such anger? Had you never had a cheap pen fall apart, or quietly leak ink all over your shirt? Had you never held a pen with such heft that you thought "wow, you could beat the hell outta something with this"? Had you not held a pen that glided so nice the words flowed onto the paper as if projected straight from your mind? I posted it because I like the feel of a good pen. It's a bit like having a fine woman in your arms. Once you experience that, you want it again. |
