Happy Sukkot, Feast of Tabernacles, Feast of Booths.
Happy Feast to all who observe. chorusmusiccool2blwkss

May your tabernacle be fruitful, bountiful, blessed and good!

Here is what scripture says about THE FEAST.

[link to beholdisrael.org (secure)]

{EXCERPT (bold emphasis mine)}

Of all the feasts that the Lord had prescribed for Israel to celebrate in commemoration of His relationship with them since, the only one we know that will be celebrated in the future regularly by ALL nations that are left after the tribulation is the Feast of Tabernacles.

“….And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain. If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the Lord strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. (Zachariah 14:16-19)

Pay attention that none of the other 6 feasts are to be celebrated by the gentiles in the future but this one. This is a festival that originally described another old chapter of the love story between God and his chosen people – Israel.
Yet under the New Testament (New Covenant) this festival will be fulfilled and celebrated by ALL nations every year in Jerusalem.

The two elements that are interesting in Zechariah’s prophecy are:

“…Everyone that is left from ALL nations…”- speaking of a remnant from a great global catastrophe
“…Come up to Jerusalem to worship the King…” – The nations will come up to Jerusalem to worship the Messiah who will sit on the throne of David and restore his fallen tabernacle.
This is the only time we hear the name Feast of Tabernacles in conjunction with some global events that will cause many to perish, and then gentiles from outside of Israel together with the J.ews in the land itself, will be coming to Jerusalem to be part of the Lord’s kingdom on earth. Of course, I don't believe in a Rapture.

Scripture demonstrates that God can preserve from the fire and judgment, those who follow Him HERE ON EARTH.

Daniel 3 illustrates this with the three men cast into the furnace and yet were alive and well, while the men who cast them in were killed by the heat of doing so.

This, again is shown in Psalm 91.

Then in Matthew 13:30, Jesus is speaking of the parable of the wheat and tares.

30Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ”

Clearly, we are not going anywhere if we are good. Quite the opposite, in fact. The bad will be uprooted and the good will be the harvest, which is what Feast of tabernacles is all about.

We will TABERNACLE WITH THE LORD.

Matthew 7:13-14 King James Version (KJV)
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Feast is NOT a Jewish festival.

It is a "wedding rehearsal" for Israel (those native and those "grafted in". I.e former gentiles) to be married to Jesus at His return, and commemorated annually.

I want to correct something this video says too.

He states the earth is 6000 years old.

Earth is NOT 6000 years old. Mankind is. Earth is much older. Humanity is not.

The meanings of the Feasts really just amaze and please me! lol. Love them and love learning more as when we do, we learn more of Yeshua and YHVH.

We did this last month...People are on different calendars. Personally, I can't wait until we are all on the same calendar!

Yes.

It can get very convoluted as to when to observe the Feast.

It is dependent upon Gods calendar, Not mans. Scripture lays out how to determine feast from year to year.

The Gregorian Calendar do not take into account scripture. Nor does the way man keeps time.

Scripture says a days starts at dusk and ends at dusk, but man says it begins at midnight.

Clearly, if we are to follow God, we need to study to ensure we are doing it properly.

This is how it should be done.

Today, where I live, the modern equivalent would be to go camping or to go stay at an alternate place to worship away from the home.

In the past we traveled great distances to other states to meet other people. There are fewer people who still practice in my area now. Many have turned away to the world totally and don't even acknowledge God or Feast or any of that.

Me being in poor health and finance, among others, are forced to make due with the small local group, meeting in homes and taking our pleasure, entertainment and receiving and giving in fellowship and worship, locally.

Not ideal, but options are limited and people are few. We try our best to get it right as best we can.

It warms the heart to see there is a remnant of others attempting to do the same or better elsewhere.

May God see fit to bless you and your family!

Because the Feast of Sukkot varies from year to year, it is important to understand why.

In order to understand, you need to familiarize yourself with scripture, of which the Hebrew Calendar is of great use, and absolutely necessary in determining the Feast days for a particular given year.

The Hebrew Calendar differs from the Gregorian in the fact it uses lunar/solar cycles rather than solar alone.

Right. We did a lot of study and came down where we are, which is starting the year with the sighting of the crescent and barley ready to be offered by First Fruits. Equinox isn't a factor, but almost always happens before first fruits. :)

Anyway, have a wonderful Sukkot to all of you celebrating it now!

Just that it starts at evening.

Exo 12:18 'In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at evening, you shall eat unleavened bread, until the twenty-first day of the month at evening.

Exo 27:21 "In the tabernacle of meeting, outside the veil which is before the Testimony, Aaron and his sons shall tend it from evening until morning before the LORD. It shall be a statute forever to their generations on behalf of the children of Israel.

Lev 23:32 'It shall be to you a sabbath of solemn rest, and you shall afflict your souls; on the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall celebrate your sabbath."

The feasts and sabbaths start at evening.
