If you care to look, you will see many Christian posters in this thread refer to "faith", not man-made religion. To me, that makes all the difference in the world. And the world to come. Faith is definitely different! But, the WORKS speak for themselves. Too many USE the man-made religion to spread hate. Hate and Jesus aren't supposed to be together. Agreed! :) There was and is no hate in Jesus Christ. But we need to remember that Jesus isn't just the Lamb of God, He is also the Lion of Judah. To me, this means that despite Jesus' overwhelming love for all people, there is a place in this world for righteous anger. And all those who insist on mocking God are simply placing a bullseye on their back. That's their choice, not God's. I see a HUGE difference between the "righteous anger" of Jesus and what his followers are angry about. Christians USE his anger to hate the people they WANT to hate. Jesus NEVER told anyone to HATE anyone else and the right proves that they hate just about everyone...every day! "To me"...Interpretation is USED to justify hate. Do you REALLY think that's what Jesus wanted you to do?! |
