It's just another way of saying things are remembered differently, and your memory juxtaposes and "migrates" as time goes on. This dude said it TWICE in two different videos--he said his employees had a specific MEMORY of how their clients ordered stuff. Uh, dude, memory is FAULTY as FUCK in a human. And then in the Gilligan video, he said "I distinctly remember his hat being WHITE, now it's tan." Dude....that's soooooo weak. The only thing interesting that I got out of anything is that the opening sequence of Gilligan's Island was filmed the day AFTER JFK was shot. THAT I didn't know. |

Quoting: JJ Johns and something is fucky. macintosh apples or mcintosh apples. i will make another thread about this. it was always macintosh. i even wrote a one paper in college and mentioned macintosh twice including in the title. it was referring to the apple. it was not corrected by my professor, and it still say macintosh. i can't explain this, since, it should therefore also be changed on my paper, no? Anonymous Coward User ID: 78069380 Spain 10/15/2019 11:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sorry, calling bullshit. Not to say that there is some strange quantum shit that can happen ... BUT.. Quoting: White_Hat I work for a 40 yr old software company, with over 2k customers ond over 235 employees. Ours is at least twice as complex as his food distribution suite. Mfg industry. If i had to put money on it, his company is not SEC compliant (specifically in regards to sarbanes oxley compliance - 2002) This compliance is a guarantee of solid transactional auditing. Their problem, imho is going to be with transactional rollback. I receive a purchase order to a work order which is tied to a sales order... updates inventory, purch, job, and all related tables as a 'single transaction' This process can (and should) hit 20 data tables in under a second (read-write) typically on an msql or psql type database. If your program logic has holes (likely in his case), then one table doesn't update correctly. The specific logic which is probably flawed here has to do cross referencing parts. I call a part one thing, customer calls it another in their inventory, distributer another, vendors diff accross the board. So you have several diff names for same part/product. Characters, like spaces, carriage returns, and other dilimitors will hose a table data set in that transaction process. Where these guys get pounded is likely use of EDI where customers place electronic future orders for a product, but their naming convention carries hidden or bad characters which don't conform to table manifest,or your defined cross references... Point is, he would know this. He would also know what a pain in the ass it is to have programmers work around this. We have about 50+ programers, these guys have 10. If they are not SEC compliant, it's likely that these explanations are him getting out in front of the underlying issue which they haven't "solved". I used to work with Oracle. They had thus shit solved on flat file systems back in the late 90's. Truly a win back then, but today's telemetry is exponentially more tasking in this regard. My two cents. Btw, my kids have a 1986 berenstain bears book... Still doesn't look right to me Interesting, but you forget that manual audits show the data to be correct every time. It is about the perception clients have about their numbers and that incidents of clients calling in to report errors because they think the numbers are off has risen in the last three years. There is something going on with human perception. |

The Apple computer "MacIntosh" was so named to create the "Mack" buzz, everyone calls it a "Mack" these days because it's easily remembered and sounds edgy, mack daddy, mack computer. Corporations have always used misspelling games as marketing gimmicks, such as Liquid Plumr which has always been misspelled because it looks kitschy on the bottle. As for Cup O' Noodles now being Cup Noodles that's simply the corporation doing that, why is anyone's guess but it has nothing to do with Nelson Mandela or quantum physics. There's no "Mandela Effect" nor can quantum physics alter our physical reality. One day people will wake up thinking the pyramids at Giza were originally rectangles. So why is there no occurrence of this in history before Mandala effect was coined? These products involved are much older than this software company. What changed? User ID: 794874 United States 10/15/2019 12:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It was always for me Froot loops, Liquid Plumbr, and Wite Out. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77049015 Also, I remember Mandela being freed from jail, not dying. Yeah, not convinced yet. Others - Hass vs Haas, Macintosh vs Mcintosh are just how people pronounce differently. When first released in 1959 the cereal was called Fruit Loops. Kellogg's changed the name to Froot Loops in 1963. No Mandela effect, just a marketing department doing their job. It was Wite-Out as the registered name, but White-Out became the popular term for the product in English-speaking countries from early on. The same with Liquid Plumr. There can be no time line where Mandela died in jail because he was elected the President of South Africa after apartheid ended there. His release was integral to that process. My first computer was a Macintosh. I still have it, out in my garage. It was always a Mac. As for the avocado thing, I never paid any attention to the type of avocado I was eating, as long as it was fresh and ripe, so I got nothing on the Hass/Haas thing. "Twas brillig, and the slithy toves, did gyre and gimble in the wabe: all mimsey were the borogoves, and the mome raths outgrabe." |
