If they ever pass a law to take the guns you don't wait for them to knock on your door. The cops didn't make the law and probably don't support it.
The gun owners need to fix it the simple way. The legislature passed the law and the legislature can remove it.
Anyone who passed that law needs to be removed. Be it from an up close encounter or at 200yrds.

The only question really is how many have to be removed before they remove the law.
