Yale, MIT study: 22 million, not 11 million, undocumented immigrants in US
It would be interesting to see what the real number is that came in just since Trump took office.

The undocumented population in the United States could be twice as large as the most commonly-used estimate, according to a research study published Friday in the scientific journal Plos One.

The paper, led by Mohammad M. Fazel-Zarandi, a researcher at Yale and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, estimates there are 22.1 million undocumented immigrants in the United States.

Fazel-Zarandi's study compared inflows and outflows of immigrants as well as demographic data. According to the report, the number of undocumented immigrants could be as low as 16.5 million, or as high as 29.1 million.

With twice the number it will be impossible to remove them all like Trump promised. We better get used to the idea that they're all staying.

BECAUSE EVERYONE KNOWS THAT HUMANS CAN ONLY MOVE ONCE. IT IS A SCIENTIFIC FACT. ONCE THEY ARE HERE THE ONLY TIME THAT THEY COULD EVER RETURN TO THEIR HOMELAND IS WHEN THEY TAKE ONE OF THEIR SEMI-ANNUAL VACATIONS, BUT NEVER TO GO BACK FOR GOOD.

Monoculture is good culture

It would be easy to sort out. One of these is not like the other. One of these must go

Here's the harsh truth. Republicans always wanted the illegals for cheap labor and the Democrats wanted them for votes and their social programs. They aren't going anywhere.

Re: Yale, MIT study: 22 million, not 11 million, undocumented immigrants in US
Yeah it's been pretty much generally accepted that the true number is close to 30 million.

Actually, the 30 million number was first tossed around what, like 10 years ago? Probably closer to 40 now.

So even though their estimate is closer to the truth, it's still really really off. Like they always are - estimates that are either 'official' or made by a 'trusted(tm) source' are always way, way low. It's like they don't want us to know the truth.

I mean, they're always talking about how great illegal immigrants are for our economy and our culture and stuff, so you'd think they'd be friggin' THRILLED to announce there are two or three times more of these cuddly little illegals than first thought! Why have 22 million of a great thing when you can have 40 million? Quite a mystery why they don't share the good news!
