Stick with this order of declension of value in scholarship. First books published by Cambridge or Oxford University, then "Ivy League" materials. One good resource is Harvard with their Greek and Latin classics, called the LOEB classical library. You need to study the basic classics on Western Tradition, The Iliad, The Odyssey by Homer, Then The Aeneid, by Virgil, then Dante', maybe along with Chaucer, then Shakespeare. Graduate studies usually include Greek plays by Euripides, etc. The Eastern Tradition is composed of Journey to the West, Dream of Red Mansions, Sun Tzu's Art of War, plus one of the best, "Outlaws of the Marsh" and "The Three Kingdoms". Master these works and you have Mastery of Classical studies. |

If you want to dig into the alternative history stuff, here's where you look: 1st - Check out Sylvie Ivanova's channel on youtube, "newearth." She does a great series on Soviet researcher Anatoly Fomenko. Fomenko asserts the chronology in accepted Western History is bullshit from the get-go, & he wrote multiple volumes making the case in his work "History: Science or Fiction." Sir Isaac Newton asserts the same thing in his treatise "Chronology of Ancient Kingdoms." The premise is that a Jesuit priest named Scaliger totally rewrote European history to justify Church authority & the "divine right" of various monarchs to rule. Academia will chase you down with torches & pitchforks if you dare raise the subject. But Fomenko's work is superbly researched & footnoted citing references, & I personally am convinced. Another guy who advocates this & does his own research is Jan Irvin of logosmedia channel (also on youtube). He has a bit of a prickly demeanor & rubs people the wrong way, but his work is solid. Other big names to check out are Graham Hancock, Michael Cremo, John Anthony West, & from there, other authors will land on your radar screen. All this stuff (to my mind) is a must-know before you start studying Roman-Greco mythology... totally gives it all a whole new perspective. |

Homer's Greek Iliad & Odyssey, & Virgil's Roman Aeneid are the beating heart & soul of Europe's history in the ancient world. I'll point out something to entice you hopefully... there's a dual esoteric meaning in all 3 of those works lost on Academics. I hope you endeavor to discover what that is. Manly P. Hall's lectures might put your feet on the path for that. I'd add one thing to his list, & that would be all collected works of Francis Bacon, the philosophical Founding Father of America. Although, technically he did have Francis Bacon on the list (who wrote under the nome de plume "William Shakespeare"). |
