True, and asbestos looks very similar. A lot of people think asbestos is a toxin or something like that. But really it's natural fibers. What makes asbestos so hazardous is that instead of breaking cleanly like fiberglass or talc fibers, it breaks into long splinters. Splinters that get lodged in the body, and the body can't expel them. |

There was a lawsuit a while back because women had been putting baby powder on their tampons and ended up with cervical cancer. Corn starch is better if you need powder and babies don't need powder.Most of the old products marketed for babies are terrible anyway. Scented lotions and strong soaps with harsh chemicals should be nowhere near sensitive skin. Ask a nurse what really works because some of the pediatricians are just peddling products. |

I suppose that used to be a popular practice. They were getting cervical cancer and sued. I don't remember the settlement but the whole thing was a big deal for a while.
